Only test a business you control or have written permission to test. Use a clearly labeled test; do not interrupt emergency dispatch, hold an appointment, or probe a competitor’s private system. Run this check from a real mobile device using an email address and phone number the office will recognize as a test. Record the time, page, service, and expected destination before starting.
Start where the customer starts
Open the Business Profile, an organic landing page, and any paid landing page. Confirm the service, market, hours, phone number, and primary action agree.
Use the mobile action
Tap the phone number, submit the primary form, or begin the booking handoff. Check that the target is visible, understandable, and usable without zooming.
Confirm customer receipt
Look for a clear on-page confirmation and, when promised, an email or text receipt. A silent form leaves the customer unsure whether to try again.
Confirm office receipt
Verify the right inbox, phone, calendar, CRM, or dispatch system receives the inquiry with the page, service, and customer details the office needs.
Check routing and ownership
Name the person responsible for responding, the backup when unavailable, and the expected response window. Technology cannot repair an unowned handoff.
Verify measurement
Confirm the event fires only after successful receipt—not merely when a button is clicked or a form submission fails.
Document the result
Record what worked, what failed, the correction owner, and the retest date. Keep screenshots without storing unnecessary customer data.
Common failures
- A form looks successful but no notification arrives.
- A shared inbox receives the lead but nobody owns the response.
- Mobile tap-to-call uses an old number.
- A booking tool opens but the intended service is unavailable.
- Analytics counts attempts instead of confirmed receipt.
- The office receives a generic message with no page or service context.
Choose the smallest correction
A broken notification, unclear form or missing event may need a smaller website correction or one agreed workflow. The free fit review determines the suitable scope; a Sprint is not required for every repair. Young Digital's Lead-to-Booked Sprint can scope one inquiry-path fix with verification and seven calendar days of monitoring.
